Sunshine

... was in short supply when I took this pic this morning but the day improved.

The plant, a gesneriad (like Achimenes, African Violet, Streptocarpus,) is Kohleria 'Sunshine.'    Despite its name,  it's been happy in the semi-shade under the top shelf of achimenes in the porch.   As with achimenes, it's a tender perennial that grows from a scaly rhizome.

A day of many parts.  Some housework, a  phone appointment for Jamie, plenty of use for a borrowed strimmer in the passage adjacent to the house and 'cutting' the grass out front.   A couple of hours at work then a lovely walk with an old friend along the lanes while the rest of the world watched a football match.   Meg enjoyed the walk too :-)
