LD 470 Signs....

I have always been fascinated by signs - when I worked in television I was sometimes criticised by my crew for wanting endless establishing shots of street signs, or shop signs , or just any signs.  I suppose for me they both identify a place and reveal an attitude.

This one certainly does, by the shore of Loch Striven - a warning to anglers and others that carrying anything carelessly near a power line can have serious consequences !    But it is also incongruous in such a lovely spot.

I took the picture  on my way back from Dunoon after one meeting with a friend who has just retired, and last night had dinner with another -  Bruce Crawford .  He and his wife were staying locally for a couple of nights , and  they also came over for a late lunch today .

I couldn't resist having him  formally raise the new flag (another sign, of a sort) so my first extra is of that.   The second is the start of work on re-roofing the sheds, which also took place today.    I suppose the only sign in that one is a that it acts as a reminder that they all needed tidied !

Who said things would be quiet ?
