Briefly a golden bridge

The Air BnB we stayed in last night was something of a disappointment. Nowhere to sit and use my MacBook; so I sat on the one chair in the room and used the bed as a desk/table. No coffeee; well only a bit of instant coffee. Plain teabags. And the 'n' stands for no (breakfast). Grumble over.

I woke before the start of civil twilight and was out for my first city run in some months. Walked up the hill from the BnB to Ponsonby Road, and then into St Mary's Bay which inner city residential area is separated from the harbour (and the actual St Mary's Bay) by the motorway to the north across the Harbour Bridge. Having gone down Jacob's Ladder (a narrow and steep (steps the whole way) lane I was looking directly at the pedestrian bridge above the motorway to the harbourside. It was irresistible.

Met friends for brunch and then to the new house where work on the renovations has gone into a pause, with little having happened in the last couple of weeks. Followed by a consultation with our architect (daughter J). Thence to Fidelis, where the weather has switched back to cold and wet; Auckland having been sunny and almost warm this morning.
