I Do Love A Funicular

Last day of our mini-holiday and after packing up the car we set off to Saltburn by the Sea. What a lovely surprise that was, such a lovely Victorian town with an amazing beach, pier and funicular. Now I do love a funicular so was very disappointed to find it closed due to Covid, meaning we had to climb up the stairs instead, it was definitely worth it though for the view.

We found a very cute little delicatessen cafe for lunch and had a final run on the beach. It wasn’t quite the trip we had planned to Vietnam to celebrate the boys finishing school and university but at least we got away and were able to spend time as a family.
