The Remarks People Make

Another day of volunteering at Hill of Tarvit. The Covid 19 programme of planned visits is working reasonably well and virtually all of the available bookings are being filled.

Some visitors do not read the booking details and arrive many minutes after the due time.  We manage to cater for the latecomers. The trick is to ensure that one "bubble" should avoid any other "bubble".

Everyone is happy to wear face masks and enjoy their visits.

Today, after I gave the main introduction to the property I was approached by one visitor.

"It must be very hard to leave such a beautiful house with so many wonderful things and return to your own bijou house filled with IKEA furniture….."

"Not for me actually as we live in a converted Georgian church in the country."

The volunteers are a widely varying group from many walks of life and all are very enthusiastic about the house and family. I am pretty sure that they are all happy to return to their own homes.

We returned home to watch the Ladies Final at Wimbledon which I had previously recorded.

Today’s Blipfoto shows the ceiling in the Library at the Mansionhouse. The ceiling has visual references to the ceiling at Kelly Castle, a nearby NTS property.
