Following last month's senior management meeting, the CEO has said :
Last December we made the difficult decision to defer the £25 Christmas allowance as the Covid tier system was implemented, followed by national lockdown, and we know that many of you weren’t comfortable with the idea of socialising.
I am pleased to confirm that, now restrictions are easing, and summer is a safer season, you will get that £25 each to spend as a team event in lieu of last Christmas.
All colleagues - whether you've been part of our frontline operations or getting to grips with remote working - can now use this allowance to spend some time together and begin to build back the sense of team that is so essential for our business.
How you decide to use this allowance will be up to you and your colleagues, but we look forward to seeing how you’ve spent time together.

The person who is in a direct line between me and the CEO, but probably about 90% higher up the food-chain than I am has said:
Further to the note from CEO, please put forward suggestions as to how you feel we should come together to celebrate this momentous occasion.
I’ll pool the responses together and see what the consensus is.

I have responded;
Well I was going to suggest we all come round to yours and take it in turns to take your Porsche for a spin round the block, but £25 won’t even cover my train fare.
