Short trip to Oban

Finished the final prep and we were off around 1/2 an hour after our scheduled departure! Easy enough drive up the road to the campsite (which is approx 12 miles north east of Oban) with a couple of stops to key Phin have a wander. My favourite was the short forest walk with sunshine and showers, we were both a little damp when we got back to the van.

Lovely campsite set in an old walled garden close to some beautiful forest walks. Parked up, dog walked and it was time to start dinner just a chilli and rice but I was cooking for us and Mr PHL’s brother and his wife (they live in Paisley) who had hired a Motorhome for the week to try it out.

Didn’t take too long to prepare and I had time to catch up on blip journals but completely forgot to post!

The travellers eventually made it to the site around 8pm as their sat an had taken them a few miles in the wrong direction so they had to backtrack a couple of times.

Dinner was tasty and we had some lovely chat before taking the dogs (they have a 12 year old parsons terrier called Toby) for a quick walk. Back to the van for a nightcap and before we knew it, it was midnight!
