Animals everywhere

Woke at 7 to purchase the Genie+ tickets to let us make lightening lane selections. This has replaced the old Fastpass system which lets you skip the queues. It’s not very intuitive but managed to make a booking for Dinosaur as the Everest coaster was showing as temporarily closed.

We were at the park by just after 8.30 and were able to go in early for our breakfast reservation at the Rainforest cafe. Yummy eggs and bacon before heading into the park. We thought we were going to be out of luck with some of the attractions as they were temporarily closed but managed to be at the entrance to the Everest roller coaster just as it reopened and got on within 5 minutes. When we came off, the wait times were already up to 30 minutes. We did a couple of walking attractions and saw a bit of a tiger, some tired gorillas and lots of birds. We also ride the safari and saw giraffes, rhinos, hippos, elephants and lions so all in all a pretty good morning at the park.

Left around 1.30 and headed back to the villa via the supermarket and spent a very lazy afternoon out by the pool toasting in the sun. Dinner at a nice steak restaurant was followed by a bit of tv then bed.

Backblipped Friday for Tuesday.
