The Greenway

This used to be the railway bridge over the River Avon, now it's an integral part of The Greenway, a cycle and footpath that runs from Stratford to Long Marston, about five miles, and is part of the National Cycle Network. It's been a while since we've taken a walk along there, I think we were put off when they introduced car parking fees, but at 50p per hour you can't grumble, well I could but then that's not surprising!

The railway carriage cafe is still there at the start and doing a fair trade, as was the cycle hire carriage next door.  Although the cafe has outside tables we didn't stay, though two ladies who'd just hired bikes asked me to take their photo.

So we had a good walk and I took some pictures by the old railway bridge (the pathway was originally a railway track like so many other long distance cycle/pedestrian routes in the country).
