Grandad reads so well

Len had an appointment to see the consultant at Glenfield Hospital this afternoon. He'd had a second CT scan at the beginning of last week to investigate a nodule on his lung.

A very nice doctor showed him the photo and pointed out the nodule which is less than an inch long. They have no way of knowing exactly what has caused it. But since Len is not in pain, is not really coughing, is not losing weight and feels OK it's being put on the back burner and will be monitored at nine monthly intervals.

That's alright then. 

We stopped by at George and Kat's to tell them what had happened. Grandad read a story to William. It was a short story about Thomas the Tank Engine and Percy which could be illuminated with a special torch shone through cut-outs in the page. Really. Photo above.

I took Basil out with me this morning when I walked to the pharmacy. We ended up doing a circuit and then we walked to Colin's where Basil joined Colin in having a two hour kip.
