Return

A beautiful warm sunny day, although I was at home online most of it. Not many meetings and managed to get a fair amount of other stuff done, and had news of another change coming.
Late afternoon I headed off to collect CK and we drove across to Glasgow, chatting and catching up as we haven’t seen each other for ages.
I’d made a typo when I put the address into the sat nav so we ended up at the wrong address….luckily we’d timed it so still arrived in time at the converted car park which was our opera house tonight. We settled into our seats (wish we’d brought cushions!) and cracked into our sushi and profiteroles picnic… you’d have been forgiven for thinking we were at Glyndebourne!
It was so fantastic to be at a live event again, and such a long time since the last one. The costumes were amazing, the singers and orchestra seemed let loose on the music - how must it have been for them all this time without performance?
On the way home the motorway closed so we had a bit of a cross country adventure and when I got home Ad and his friend were there…stopping over on their drive up to Thurso for a few days. We chatted for a while then I got to bed.
