last of the sun

We ratcheted up the step count today. First thing we called into Port Isaac (of Doc Martin tv fame), its a lovely small working fishing port but by the time we were leaving it was heaving with people in the narrow streets. Mostly cloudy whilst we were there but by the time we left for a walk on the coastal path around Pentire point and Rumps the sun was full on and when sheltered from the sea breeze was very warm. The views along the coast are something else, see extras, from Pentire back towards Polzeath beach however showed a concentration of people like a swarm of ants, half of whom were in the sea.
The main blip is the cloudless sunset from our apartment, showing the small Doyden Castle built in 1827 by a wealthy bon viveur to entertain his friends, gamble and drink ! In extras where you see a white house on the distant headland, it's the house we are staying in.
