Now has a supporting role

After finishing the morning working from home, which included dealing with a number of emails, and reading and summarising a paper on the (absence of) effects on brain connectivity by antipsychotic medication, we went to Titirangi to meet with the builder and our architect (daughter J).

While there I tried for a photo of the welcoming Tui. It was in the same tree as where I have heard it before. Took me quite a lot of looking to spot it, and it was far too surrounded by leaves and branches to allow a clear sight.

A photo of the ponga on the edge of the property shows the profuse growth of the tree ferns (Ponga). In the centre of the photo I've blipped is a tall slender trunck covered by a vine like plant using the dead Ponga as a support to get higher up towards the canopy, which is really very high at this point. Smaller Ponga surround the base, and their trunks are only 1 - 2 metres at this stage. Afew taller ones are also seen.

Ehen we get the boundary issue sorted, there will need to be a better retaining wall; probably behind these plants.

Late back to Fidelis Avenue, after spending the end of the afternoon into the early evening with both our daughters. A lovely interlude. Despite both S and I wearing masks to prevent handing on the lurgi. I'm almost over it, and S is just starting.
