Life through the lens...

The Yorkshire Aldborough.

A shortened version of my blip as last one wouldn’t upload.
This is actually the 16th July.

A hot day.
Walked from Boroughbridge to the delightful village of Aldborough.
Never been before and it was delightful with lost of history.

Collage shows the Maypole. Still used today.
The Ship Inn where we stopped for shandys.
The tall cross which commemorates the Battle of Boroughbridge and stood on the town for 500 years before being relocated here in 1852.
The stocks in front of the old Court House. Hope someone lets that person out soon.
Blue plaque commemorates the deaths of World War 11 bomber crew.

Back to the caravan before it got too hot, and sat in the shade on the decking, with a glass of white wine and a book.

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine too.
Will catch up with you allwhen we are back home.

Extras. Little tractor parked up in the carpark ( Free) at Boroughbridge. Giant Hogweed seen on our walk.
