Orange Top

Finding new ways to see things is, so I've read, part of a photographer's remit. To try to show the viewer something they would not have seen, even when standing beside you.

Capturing a flower in the breeze with a long exposure reduces it to shapes and colour, and maybe that encapsulates its essence. It also reflects the experience of the evening by showing movement.

I used an extension tube to get really close and an ND filter to extend the shutter time. Although difficult to judge the breeze, more than 10 seconds was too long and this image at 2 seconds was my favourite.
