Six-spot burnet moth

After listening to our online church service I took a walk along the path at the side of the golf course. Plenty of wild flowers but many were low growing ..... and it's not dignified to lie down on a public pathway even in the pursuit of a blip!

I spotted some scabious growing in the field across from the golf course ..... a spot of clambering and I was rewarded with the sight of the little burnet moth enjoying a rest in the very warm air.

Back home in Glasgow and I'm already missing the sea air. Think it will be a night for the fan.
