Common Darter (I think)

A lovely but hot morning searching for dragonflies.  No problem finding them BUT getting in-focus images is another matter; a few managed thank goodness. Good to get home though and out of the heat.  My son suggested we meet for lunch (as John is away) and we had a lovely time together - fortunately sitting in the shade with a cooling breeze.  Later, I took Pepper for her walk to the allotment (through a swarm of some insects at one point).  I picked French beans and have a batch in the freezer for another time - feeling very virtuous!
