Kitchen Guide

Another day of guiding at Hill of Tarvit.

Today’s Blipfoto shows a view of the Kitchen taken from the Guide’s Chair and the thumbnail shows the Mortar and Pestle.

We refer to the Mansionhouse as the HOT house and today it deserved that title.

Windows and Doors are opened to encourage fresh air to flow through the building. There was little in the way of a breeze.

The tour group route through the house is planned to the minute. This takes some achieving when visitors arrive anything up to 30 minutes late. Some don’t arrive at all and others arrive in hope.

We successfully manage all but it is a tricky problem.

Arrive home in need of sustenance and libations. While Pat deals with these I roll out the 50 metre extension cord so that Emil can cut up some of the wood that has been harvested in the garden recently.

Emil is a stone mason who does some work for us carving lettering and is accompanied by Rebecca, who is a poet and playwright.
