Marie Claire

Another extremely hot day.  The car was in for a MOT so I spent the morning browsing nearby sofa shops.  When I returned to the garage I found that the car needed two new tyres which wasn't unexpected.  This meant another wait of over an hour so I went for a walk along the nearby canal into Exeter Quay along the canal.  Several groups of canoeists were enjoying a trip along the water and I was pleased to see that the two old boats were still moored up here.

After tea I went with my son along the river to see the beavers as he hadn't been out to look for them before.  We were a little later and only managed to see glimpses of the kits.  We did see several kingfishers though and way too many midges.
