Cool Jude

Hazy with cloud cover this morning so we decided to head out for a walk. It wasn’t much cooler but there was a pleasant breeze walking under the tree canopy alongside Low Park in the St Ives estate. We realised that the two of us haven’t walked here since before our holiday in Scotland though I have done the usual Thursday early morning circuit with the ladies.

We walked through Betty’s wood. The ground cover is nearly as high or higher in some places as the new trees. Rose Bay Willowherb abounding amongst the bracken. A preponderance of Birch trees in the area where there was no planting after the felling of the diseased trees. Not sure if this was planned or not.

We continued round past the golf course to the Ivy Kitchen for a coffee, not very busy and plenty of available tables.

Back home I had a ‘What’s app’ from Grace and the girls. They were at Shepton Mallet Lido. Looked like just the place to be today and Jude seems to be loving it. So I chose this one for my blip. Much better than anything from my walk, though we did enjoy it and I’ll be there again tomorrow with the ladies.

PS Jude is 10 months old today!
