Breaking News

From the AOG Village in NJ, news has broken that Team Digger has been issued a warning for paralyzing one of the other athletes.  Gloria Great Golden Digger Wasp was caught in the act of taking a member of Team Katydid into her burrow - she immediately denied any wrongdoing and insisted that she was just giving the Katy a "tour" of the burrow.  This was right before she grabbed Katy by the head and drug her into the aforementioned burrow.  Officials considered sanctions but decided to go with a stern warning instead.

Shortly thereafter, two members of Team Digger had to be separated for brawling (see Extra).  This really doesn't bode well for Team Digger, does it?  Only 48 hours until the Games kick off and they are already in trouble.  

The Village and Stadium are filling up fast now in anticipation of the AOG.  For those who follow such things, the first AOG was held in 2014 when it was winter in the northern hemisphere.  Since then, we've held our own AOG coinciding with every real Olympics, and last year, by popular demand, we staged an AOG during the Pandemic because I think we all needed a distraction.  Please consider joining in the fun which starts on 23 July!  (Details HERE)  Pregame coverage can be seen HERE - you won't want to miss this!  The pre-game tag is #aog21pre; tag for the first day of the Games is #aog211.  

I've felt only a tiny bit of fatigue today, so I think I am definitely on the other side of the whole thing.  I wonder if part of why I felt so crummy yesterday had to do with the terrible air quality here due to the fires in the western US and Canada?  We had air quality warnings yesterday as the smoke cloud moved over our area.
