Visitors!

A few days ago it was our Goddaughter's 16th birthday. She was away on the day so we offered an afternoon in our garden and an extended "fika", snack, to her and her parents, pictured here. They are looking through the books of daily drawings produced by Jan this year. Both Kerstin and Jan are part of a bookbinding studycircle so she recognised that the books themselves were also produced by Jan!
Jewelry is a shared interest too and Jan bought out her amber to look at, discuss, and to pass on one of the necklaces.
It was a year since they had been to visit so there was plenty to look at. The weather was perfect for an outside snack with a breeze, a modest temperature, and places in the shade or the sun around the table. We ate our fika on the deck, another feature that was new to them!
The Goddaughter had disappeared into the house to explore the nooks and crannies of our shelves.
Other activities included some planting in the new boxed bed, and preparing to travel away in the camper van for a few days.
Slept very well last night!
