Van Cooking

Not the world's most interesting photo but it s a record of the first meal we actually cooked in the camper van.
We camped in a small carpark next to a disused outdoor ice-hockey ring. It was just north of a village called Dombäck, on the road to the local airport. It wasn't the most salubrious place in the world but it wasn't too bad either, surrounded by trees and meadows and a good way from any houses and towns. It was also right next to Gideå River and I had visions of a morning swim, but unfortunately the river was 20 metres lower down and the only way to the water was down a very steep bank covered in "jungle". I could imagine the feast I would provide for the insects on the way back and decided to do without a swim.
Earlier we had been to Skeppsmalen, a lovely fishing village. There was a place to park camper vans but it looked a bit crowded for our taste so we travelled onwards. We'll return later, at a quieter time.
Northwards to Claire and Umeå tomorrow.
