Thank You For the Days ..

Another Scenic Route

We crossed the big mountains again today, this time making our way south wards over the road I've always called The Lecht.

But it appears that now it is referred to as the Snow Road. This picture is taken at the viewpoint above Corgarff Castle, where there is an installation called The Watchers - four pillars which contain seats from where you can gaze out over the seemingly endless ranges of the Cairngorms. TM tried one (extras).

There's also a handy post for steadying your camera when taking the obligatory shot of the castle ...... these clever folks at Visit Scotland are full of bright ideas ....

Only a very few streaks of snow were visible today. At Tomintoul we stopped for refreshments - coffee and bacon roll, consumed on a bench on the Main Street. The temperature was 23 degrees!!
