Scotland  recorded its hottest day on record – 29C in Dumfries and Galloway though here in central Scotland it’s a more comfortable 24C.
 
Heard today of more friends who were pinged and are now self –isolating, that’s a total of six with two being positive. Think its time we ordered some of these self-testing kits.
 
Last year we were told the virus would be killed off in the heat and that’s why it declined in the summer. This year the opposite is true. The hotter it gets the more the Delta virus is ripping like wildfire through the community with an average of around 40,000 new cases a day.
 BBC Scotland had an interview tonight with a Professor of Immunology from Harvard University. He said they were watching with amazement at the way Britain is lifting restrictions while the numbers are rising exponentially.
