Just returned form a fantastic few days in County Clare. The sun shone, the wind blew and we've been everywhere!
We:
battled against galeforce sleet on top of the Cliffs of Moher
skipped along custard coloured sands at Lahinch
gawped at strange rock formations made by ancient sea urchins at Fanore
squelched across bogland to stare at a tiny wayside holy wells
marvelled at the vast and desolate limestone pavements of the Burren
wandered through stunted hazelwoods to vist a trivalete ring fort on the edge of an enormous cliff
gasped in awe at the sheer size of the rocks used to make neotlithic tombs
fell silent at the hope and fears piled up in St Bridget's well
arrived in Ennis at the end of the Paddy's Day parade and experienced severe culture shock - green hot pants, orange leg warmers and green Irish Princess tiaras
enjoyed utter peace and quiet and a sense of the ancient at tiny remote churches
ate very well!!

A few backblips:
St Bridget's Well
Neolithic Dolmen
Cliffs of Moher
Desert o Dea

Back home and everything has grown and the Blackthorn is out.
