Through the arch window

A day out with a timed entrance ticket to Tintagel Castle as it opened its doors. It was hot and we were glad to be ahead of any crowds. We walked the impressive new bridge but covid one way system meant that to return we still had to do the steps down to the old bridge and of course back up again. We were stood in a puddle by the time we finished.

Lunch of mackerel salad and 2 long cold drinks was very welcome. Then on to Boscastle, the scene of severe flooding in 2004, I remember the news reports. The small community were fortunate not to incur any injury (other than a broken thumb apparently) and thy have done a superb job at restoring the place to its former glory.

We returned home to see the first sunset with a few wispy clouds, so had to add a photo of that as well
