Charlecote

The mini heatwave is definitely over, for now.  I managed a good night's sleep for the first time in days.  Today was a normal UK summer's day, overcast, the possibility of rain which didn't materialise and warmish...in fact a perfect day for going out.  So we went to Charlecote Park, the National Trust property near Wellesbourne. We had a nice walk round the grounds to the lake, the deer, mainly young bucks, were gathered there posing for photos by the visitors (see extras).

The Woodyard Cafe was open so we had a coffee before having a look round the formal gardens, parts of which are more like a wildflower garden, awash with bees and butterflies.
