Another Bridge

I suppose a village or town that has grown around a river depends on it's bridges to get about. Lower Slaughter has two footbridges and just one road bridge. There is a third footbridge, a fairly ancient clapper bridge a little further down but it's blocked off. I've added it as an extra.

My blip yesterday was the narrow road bridge and this one today is the bridge by the mill and I took the short walk this morning at about 7.30 to photograph it.

We'd had a bit of a disturbed night because a couple of drunks had stayed in the bar area (below our room) and became very raucous every so often. I don't know why the night duty security guy hadn't done anything about them. At 3.30 am getting no response on the phone, Marian went down (which I thought was very brave of her). She tore them off a strip and directed the security man to take care of it. It stayed quiet after that but the damage had been done to our sleep.

After breakfast we said our goodbyes and set off for home. The roads were busy but we made it home without any delays and managed to pick up Cato before the kennels closed. It's been a lovely weekend in good company.
