Grassnut and Marigold

A hot, dry day with very little breeze.

A lazy morning reading was followed by a bit of housework.
In the afternoon Janice and her dog Cass came round for a chat.
Geordie showed Cass all the shady spots in the garden so she could get out of the sun, while Janice and I sat on the patio and enjoyed elderflower cordial with soda.
When they left, Geordie and I went for a walk around town. It was slightly cooler and a bit quieter by then.
