Flame Robin

Today is my one period day of teaching. Usually I have to drive the 40 minutes each way for my one class, but today, thanks to lockdown, I got to go bird watching at the wetlands. SR and I saw a Flame Robin and a Rose Robin. I've never seen them before and was so happy to do so today. We also saw a heap of other, more common birds. SR has a 100-400 mm lens, so was able to get some good shots of the robins. I, on the other hand, have a measly 100-200 mm lens (actually an excellent lens, just not good for birding!). Still, I had a lot of fun and was just so amazed by how lovely they all are.

This little robin flitted around near us, just staying a safe distance away, but not too bothered by us.
