A walk in the woods

We had so much rain last night, but today was dry with some sunshine. I walked Xena in the woods where she had fun meeting and playing with other dogs. This was a scene on my walk today, the tree trunks were still wet from the rain last night.

Back home I had some admin to do and do only got out to the supermarket after lunch. I noticed quite a few items are in short supply and the staff member was saying that so many staff have been affected by the pingdemic that they are struggling to fill the shelves as they have so many drivers off who usually deliver the supplies.

With the significant time difference between the UK and Japan it means we get to hear about the Olympic events when we wake up in the morning after they have happened, so although today has been dubbed Magic Monday as team GB won three gold medals, it does not have the same impact of the excitement you get when you are watching it live. Nevertheless well done to the medal winners, at last Tom Daley has got his gold medal.

We have now booked flights to Switzerland for the boys for next month, but Gavin and I are driving via France. Fingers crossed France comes off the amber list as the Beta cases are falling, so that Gavin and I don't have to quarantine when we get back.
