Baddesley Clinton National Trust. Back blip.

This was taken yesterday at Baddesley Clinton NT. It’s about a 35min drive from here.
Our d-i-l’s friend and her two boys were waiting at the entrance, having driven up from Stratford-upon-Avon.
Although showery, we had warm sunshine in between, and actually managed a picnic lunch altogether on the field area which is set out with wooden tables with benches.
Our four grandchildren and the friend’s two boys had a great time playing hide and seek amongst the wooded areas of the beautiful parkland, and also used the printed sheets provided by the NT especially for children to spot different types of trees from pictures of leaves, with one also for birds.
Libby, 8, found a lot of the trees. The 4 boys were being boys and just generally racing about together. Bonnie, 2, loves trying to keep up and joined in their hide and seek!
Stephen and I had a walk round the parkland ourselves for awhile so our d-i-l and her friend could have a good catch-up.
The children all know each other well.
Always good to see families enjoying themselves at National Trust venues. A Family Membership for a year is such a good idea.
Coffees and drinks, plus icecreams were consumed in the enclosed courtyard space next to the restaurant/café, which is now open, before we all left mid afternoon. Most people queued at the counter area keeping a distance and wearing masks.
Hand sanitizers and Track and Trace in positions. The sky was foreboding as we made our way back to the car park, hearing rumbles of thunder in the distance.
The heavy downpours are very localised.
Today we are going to the local park this morning, and pottery painting this afternoon at the local Craft Centre.
The kids are all very excited about that!
As it’s now 7.10am I’ll stir myself shortly. The children are all awake.
Grandad is still asleep!
Thankyou to those of you who’ve commented on my blips! I’m still snatching a bit of time to look at yours in between the hurly-burly, pell mell days just now.
