Hubs home town

The drive down yesterday wasnt too bad, 4.5 hrs, had one quick stop for coffee, was busy, a bit stop & start, but arrived about 2.45pm, wet and 14 degrees when I left home, 22 and sunny when I arrived in Southampton :-)

An emotional first hour, with hubs sis and BiL.....we just chilled and caught up whilst sat outside with a bottle of fizz, we raised a glass to hub.

Today we went out for a walk in Victoria Country Park down by the shore.....very windy with Storm Evert, but not cold and we managed to avoid the rain.

My blip today was taken whilst we walked through the war graves in the Memorial Cemertery......sis was a bit disappointed to see they hadnt been quite so well maintained during the pandemic, but as we got to the top area, there was evidence that they had started the mowing and weeding, as it looked much better. You can read a little more about the memorial in extras.

We went to the pub afterwards for lunch, all very nice, the. back tomtheres, where we sat out onmthe patiomfor an hour or so, still pretty windy, but warm in the sun.

Daughter in enjoying her holiday in Tenerife, tonight she has been to a restaurant in the mountains, in Vilaflor, somewhere me and her dad have been ......Francisco, who is one half of the duo who play at "our resort" when we used to go for our month every November, was playing at the restaurant, she video called me whilst he was playing hubs fav tune, Creep.
He said over the mic "I dedicate this to my good friend Norman Smith" needless to say daughter was in floods, so very kind of him. K was so pleased to finally meet him in person and listen to him, he even came over afterwards waved and said Hi to me, very special x

Well weve enjoyed a relaxing evening, watched a bit of tv, had a light tea, no alcohol, bed time shortly, need to be up early in the morning.

Enjoy your weekend and be safe.
