Day 496 A christening

Today we attended a christening  after party, of the son of daughter #2's dearest friend and had a lovely afternoon.  The event was well attended by little ones of all ages, although I rather think that Stella-Rose was the youngest.  Violet I only glimpsed once as at 7, she has rather more to do than sit with nanna all afternoon.  My blip is of the lovely decorations in the essential gazebo -  yes we had torrential rain several times during the afternoon.  H, daughter #2's friend is extremely talented at party decor  and it was she who hosted our daughter's parties recently and created the beautiful displays for those.
In other news: finally our garden landscapers were able to come and put up two replacement arches, dig out the dying weigela (the birds are rather confused) trim the sharp corners of the patio steps and replace a rotten fence post all in one day - phew!.  No gym required for these lads as they get all the physical exercise they need working so hard six days a week.

PS it's 23 years to the day since we moved into our house.  We thought we'd only stay here for 10-15 years!
