High & Dry

Wardrobes finally complete, and the last few bits of trim have been varnished. Time to put everything away. My few clothes and shoes were soon safely stored, but Mrs C’s more extensive collection of clothes, shoes and handbags is proving to be a bit problematical as regards finding a home for everything.
The first thing to be put away was the hairdryer. And this is definitely the one thing that won’t be moving. Mrs C’s dream was to have a hairdryer that lived in a drawer and could then be taken out and used in front of the mirrored wardrobe door.
And, thanks to the skill of the joiner and the fortunate siting of a plug socket, her dream has been realised! All hair drying/styling items live out of sight in the drawer until required and there is more than enough flex on the dryer to allow unfettered use. Not that I will ever need to use it - the few hairs I have left are short enough to require only a quick rub with a towel to be fully dried and styled!
The good news is that the temporary clothes rail that was cluttering up the lounge, is now empty. The bad news is that there are still a couple of boxes full of clothes and shoes to be put away - and the wardrobe is looking awfully full! The doors have been shut for tonight, but I suspect there could be a reshuffle tomorrow when I and my “helpful” comments are not around!
Another session at the new gym to finish off the day. Still getting to grips with the slightly different weights and equipment so fairly certain there will be better to come once I’m more familiar with everything.
A band rehearsal is planned for tomorrow. Not done that for nearly two years, so it will be interesting to see how much of the set I can actually remember!
