Louie Takes Gold!!!

The eyes of everyone in the PNW Stadium were on Louie in the Peanut Stash & Dash event today.  Not only did he break a time record, but his form also left everyone speechless, especially his perfectly pointed toes, fingers, feet, as well as the angle of his tail and the positioning of his ears.  Your intrepid reporter has noticed that in Tokyo there seems to be a lot of emphasis on pointed toes and now we know that Louie could teach them all how to do it right.  Just sayin'.

Louie's astonishing form was also evident at the start of the event when he took off from the starting blocks.  (See Extra)

Flush with victory from yesterday, Herbie Heron appeared on the podium today flustering the officials.  Not only was he facing the wrong way but he had a little trouble grasping the fact that preening is not an Olympic event, and that he had already received his Gold Medal yesterday.  He was forgiven for his overzealousness and gently escorted from the podium by Security.  (Also in Extra)

Nobody has heard a word from Team Beaver but officials have posted a lookout at the water's edge with night goggles.

Last-minute update (Extra):

Bucky floated by the judges' stand about 8:30 but didn't indicate where the rest of the team was or even if they were planning to show up.
