An ordinary life....

Twice the trouble...

Backblipped 10.08.21

...double the fun!  :-))

Backblipping this five days after the arrival of this pair of turbo charged, energetic, hilarious, bundles of joy!  I will do my best to summarise all the fun we have had...

Today was spent doing the final prep for Sharon, Lewa and their gorgeous girls arriving.

Lewa texted just after 5.45pm to say they were just passing Perth and would be with us shortly.  And in no time they were here!

Oh how wonderful to see them all!

It's been 18 months since their last visit and what a difference in both girls, but especially Faith.  She was only 18 months old when they were last here and although running about, was quiet as a mouse.  She's now three and well...what can I say...has a voice like a fog horn!  Apparently that's what her Gran calls her - The Foghorn!  LOL!

They came running in and launched themselves at David and then me for the most fantastic cuddles!  Oh how wonderful it felt to hold their wriggling, giggling little bodies and feel their arms tight around our necks.  I just about held it together!  It was also great to see Sharon and Lewa, who have both worked so hard during the pandemic and really needed this break.

The evening passed in a blur of chat, laughter, games and nonsense :-)) We paused briefly for dinner, then it all took off again, till the girls, including their exhausted mum, headed off to bed.

Lewa, David and I stayed up to watch some of the Olympics.  Being Kenyan and a fitness fanatic (a personal trainer being one string to his bow) Lewa takes the Olympics very seriously, especially the athletics.  Interesting to see it all through his eyes.....although I did nod off before the end!

So happy to have this amazing little family back with us.
