Linhope Burn

Not much painting today, just the second coat of gloss on the woodwork in the soon-to-be cupboard.

In the evening, a short walk from the top of the Ingram Valley to the hamlet of Linhope - far too late to go as far as Linhope Spout. Very pleasant, with a feeling of being in the hills, even though we were walking on an estate road. The Blip was taken on a little bridge over the Linhope Burn, just before reaching the hamlet.

The weather was threatening, and as we started back to the van the heavens opened with a vengeance - horizontal rain. We were wearing waterproof jackets but our legs were drenched - on one side only! Home to dry off, then an hour of TV, and a wee dram.

ION: MrM Senior is feeling a little better. Yesterday evening it was thought that he didn't have Covid, as the result of a rapid lateral flow test done at the hospital was negative. This morning, the result of a PCR test came through positive - he definitely has Covid, apparently a variant not previously seen at that hospital.
Is there any point in doing lateral flow tests?
