Windmill 'Maallust', Amerongen

'Maallust' = 'grind-lust' or 'grinding lust'?  :D))))))
'Maal' is also the origin of the English word 'meal'.  So you might have some lust for a meal.  :D)))
'Amerongen' = 'AH-muh-rong-un'

Within the municipality of Amerongen lies the little village of Doorn, which is where the ex-Kaiser of Germany, Wilhelm II, grandson of Queen Victoria, bought a 'house' when he was allowed by the Dutch Queen Wilhelmina to live in exile here after his defeat in WW1.  His mausoleum is on the grounds of the estate.  I have visited the place.  The mausoleum itself is not accessible to visitors and is only opened for the family when they commemorate his death.

Could not shoot this with a wide panoramic view, the usual reasons, but that was okay.  There was some sun, which was sufficient.  Five windmills in as many days, and that's fine, but I'll be bringing Carmela to the garage tomorrow for a CT scan -- I want them to look at the damage caused by that rock last June.  She's due for the annual APK (MOT) in January, and I would like to know how much will need to be done to pass it.  I hope it won't be a hopeless case.  She still does 24 km./liter, which, for a 15-yr-old engine, is quite admirable.

Other than the hunt, a quiet day at home.
