The Mount - Pentlands

We were walking in the Pentlands today with the 2nd Saturday Strollers.  We left from Carlops gradually ascending towards 'The Mount' our highest point at 538m.  We made sure to clear a straight path through the cows with their calves although I didn't do as good a job of avoiding the divots and rabbit holes.  

From 'The Mount' we could see down to the North Esk Reservoir where we had our lunch stop and the ascent to 'Patie's Hill', our next peak at 475m.  After that it was all downhill back to Carlops - wind assisted!
