Well, this is a surprise. A surprise that it’s a milestone at all, and a surprise that I have made it. My thanks for making it possible go to the Blipfoto volunteers, our heroes, and to everyone who visits my journal,  and who leaves comments, stars and hearts. I enjoy looking at your journals and wonder at so many different lives with one common interest. This is a great community that has brought us together.

The glass Koru was given to me by my daughter, FirehorseMia, for Mother’s Day. It is an important symbol in Māori culture, inspired by the unfurling of silver fern fronds. It stands for such concepts as new beginnings, growth, strength and harmony. Now what does that remind you of?

This shot was taken at the same window as the one of the waxeye a couple of days ago.

My glass collection.
