Hayne Down

I took the bike up to the moor today to do a ride I'd planned. I parked at Hemsworthy Gate and set off to Houndtor. I rode over Hayne Down past Bowerman's Nose and on to the Manaton road. Once there with drizzle starting and a strong breeze blowing, I decided I wasn't enjoying it as much as I thought I would. It would be much nicer to do it on a better day so I decided to turn left instead of right and take a shorter route back to the van. It was still over 8 miles with lots of ups and downs. It brightened up later in the day!

My blip is looking back on the road over Hayne Down. That's Hound Tor on the right and Haytor Rocks on the left.

Tomorrow is Wide Wednesday and the theme I've chosen is History. I'm sure you'll be able to find something with a bit of history to it, of one kind or another. Photograph it with a wide lens, make a panorama or just crop it so it looks W-I-D-E. tag it widwed180821. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
