Doe a Deer

Whilst doing the washing up I looked out into the evening light  and saw her over in the far side of the field so with nothing on camera, dropped everything and grabbed my long lens.

The next job was to quietly get outside without being noticed, creep under the cover of the garden shrubs and then into my tent hide where I'd left my tripod. All went well and I got some shots of her looking in my direction, though distance, long grass and fading light all helped. She goes to sleep most nights in our field and the grass at the far end has been flattened in patches into very comfy looking  hollows.

Another busy day today so it was really lovely to have such a great end to it.
