It, unfortunately, snuck out of sight back in the days of an earlier shed with a leaky Roof.  After that I'm afraid it got slowly more and more dilapidated until as you see it now.

Should you be unable to fathom it out, search for 
"Wartime children's gas mask" and you'll see a goodly likeness on the top line.  The cardboard Box deteriorated in the leaky shed.
So far as I'm aware it never saw service though.
