Happiness is......

Happiness is having a scratch for every itch. Ogden Nash

That quote certainly applied to this bull this morning that was first relieving an itch using the barbed wire and then a fence post and appeared happy with the outcome. It was a tad disconcerting as the fence post was moving around, the fence appeared quite flimsy and the bull was extremely large! G introduced me to a lovely new walk this morning from Kelling Heath car park down to the sea near Muckleburgh and back again. It was soooooo muggy on the way back, storms are no doubt on their way.

Day 523 / Day 34 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
300,000 carbon dioxide monitors are to be used in schools in England from next term to help see what ventilation is required to lessen Covid. It all sounds very late as they have yet to be fully procured and the term starts in two weeks. The Govt is pleased with itself that Covid deaths are low in relation to the number of infections due to vaccinations. Whilst this is true and to be celebrated, my concern is that when seasonally things should be at their best now, new infections averaged 31,698 per day over the last week, a year ago that was 992 a day i.e. there are now almost 32 times as many cases a day than a year ago. Also given we have an average 838 daily hospital admissions and 100 daily deaths in Summer, what will it be in Winter?
