Blackcurrant Harvest

The day started with tea in bed and finishing my current book; MaddAddam, the third book in a trilogy by Margaret Atwood. After a slow breakfast I moved onto harvesting our blackberries. As usual berry picking was a fairly contemplative activity. The berry bushes have been a bit neglected this year so two of them are slightly past their best and the third was perfect. 3 litres of berries frozen (winter breakfasts) and a few in the fridge for the next few days.  There are a lot of dried berries looking a bit raisin-like, which I left on the bush. I wonder if they are usable?
Otherwise it's been a fairly quiet day.
