Jack's never around when you need him

An early visit to the plot, got soaked picking peas, it stopped raining so I picked runners, chair needed , then French beans, pulled a few carrots, & the last of the spring onions. Walked home with the veggies. Changed out of my wet clothes, nipped to the shop, dropped the newspaper back home then down to CK to walk Indie. The sun came out, perfect walking weather. A close encounter with the cattle on the heath. Indie on her lead, we walked slowly past them then out through the gate.
Back at Mum's, coffee & cake. I dropped some beans off to one of Mum's neighbours. She's been very poorly, now has a stoma bag, experimenting with different foods, runner, & French beans had'nt been tried, so brilliant news that she did'nt have any problem with the ones I gave her last week. She gave me some windfall apples, they'll go with the roast pork tomorrow.
Mum came back to Chudleigh for lunch & an afternoon watching the gee gees.
