Wanderings & Witterings

Dumgoyne

Met up with friends in Milngavie and, after our obligatory coffee stop, went off in one of the cars to Carbeth. One of my friends had been keen to visit the Carbeth Huts for ages.

A wander around the hutting community paths before joining the John Muir Way and then the West Highland Way back to Milngavie. Time for toasties / baked potatoes and a post-walk coffee before going our separate ways. For me, it was a case of driving back to Carbeth with some of my friends to collect their car which we'd left at the start of our walk.

A most enjoyable day out, despite the persistent rain. The photo was taken from the West Highland Way path, looking over Carbeth Loch towards Dumgoyne.

In other news, Falkirk beat Clyde 3-0 and despite playing in the third tier of Scottish football had the second largest crowd of the day (after Celtic).  It would have been one greater had I not chosen to go out walking with my friends.
