Life through the lens...

Random acts of crochet kindness.

A day of heavy rain, drizzle and mizzle.
In between we have had some sun, which meant I could do a little gardening.

Went to Goodalls ice cream parlour for a large tub of their vanilla ice cream to go with the fruit salad I had made for tea.
It tasted delicious covered in homemade blackberry coulis. ( see extra )

Tong village was very busy as there was a wedding at the church. Lovely to hear the church bells.

I have blipped this letterbox before. One of the oldest in the Leeds area. Notice the VR on the front.
However not blipped since it has been decorated by the crochet bombers.
I liked the little label which said;

“ I hope this makes you smile. Please do not remove. If you like put a picture on Facebook.
Random acts of crochet kindness. X❤️H”

I also picked some blackberries which went into the fruit salad.

This morning we watched the first Episode of Jay Blade’s Yorkshire Workshop. It was filmed in Little Germany, Bradford. Nice to see Bradford put on the map for once.
What a great programme. Difficult not to shed a tear!

Pleased to learn that our two granddaughters had arrived in Exeter safe and sound. An overnight stop on their way to Cornwall for a few days holiday.
Well done to Hannah for driving all the way. By far the longest journey she has done.
Only another 100 to do tomorrow.
Weather is looking good for them too.
I’m sure they will have a great time.

They say the weather is also going to improve up here. We will wait and see!
